The Dangers of Overeating Junk Oils and Margarine

Trans fats involved in junk oils and margarine can actually increase levels of oxidised LDL. Too much of the long chain fatty acids like palmitic acid can accumulate in the arteries as plaque. The feedlot cattle themselves are similarly inflamed due to this grain-fed omega-6 emphasis. It contributes to the inflammatory component of coronary heart disease, of stroke, of diabetes and Alzheimer's because it's dominated by omega-6 fats.
