The Importance of Cricket in the IPL
There are only four players who've got 6,000 runs in the IPL. David Warner is poised to be the first past 7,000 any minute now. He has got there in between 40 and 60 fewer innings than the three around him. If you add another 60 innings to his career, I'm tipping he's getting more than another 1,000 runs to add to that total. There's always a debate around who's the best player ever in IPL history. I don't know whether it is Warner, but he'd be on the podium by the sounds of things.
