In Montgomery itself, there was a stream of black riders who had resisted bus segregation before Rosa Parks. That accumulation is crucial to why people are at a breaking point with Rosa Parks. I think you don't get people to boycott Rosa Parks if Claudette Colvin doesn't do what she does.
