Fast Growth Is Like Cancer
LZ Granderson: Why is plotting so closely connected with stability? LZ: How long does it take to make a godly man? A couple decades. Takes a long time. LZ: When you grow fast, you just have to understand that that growth is not mature. It's not mature. And when you prune a fruit tree, you're cutting back every year on the new fast growth. That kind of thing doesn't happen in churches. We've talked about certain things like even the Amish being slow to adopt novel technology,. which has made them incredibly stable.
