California Gas Prices Rise to Record Highs

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gas in San Diego County rose to a record Tuesday for the fourth consecutive day. Average price has risen 18 consecutive days from 31 of the past 32 days. The value of the most substantial asset that most Americans own, which is their home, is now plunging at a pace not seen since the real estate collapse of the Great Recession. Home prices down 0.98% in August from a month earlier following a 1.05% drop in July.
