The State Department Is Offering Free Counseling to Employees Hurt or Upset by a System-Wide Gender Gap
A system-wide email glitch temporarily assigned random and often incorrect gender pronouns to staff. The State Department is offering free therapy to any employee who feels hurt or upset as a result of this unfortunate mistake, according to an internal email. Those upset with misgendering are encouraged to conduct the State Department's Employee Consultation Service to speak to a professional counselor. And you know what I hope that counselor says? Yeah, this was a setup just to weed people out. You're fired.
