Saponification

The word saponification is taken from a mythical Roman mountain. In ancient Rome, priests would sacrifice animals up there and the animal fat flowed down to the Tiber River where people were washing their clothes. When you finally reach that saponification point, you're right a rock. It's like seeing when a pasta noodle's done.
