Sal, it became clear that the people whoad analyzed the data pretty much, cheat is too strong a word, but their analysis technique left a little to be desired. They were using a er a smoothing filter, which was averaging over several solar cycles. And they'd used a sort of algarithm that meant that once they started going round the corner, they'd carry on going around the corner. I couldn't possibly say whether they'd done that on purpose or just as a mistake. It could have been a mistake. For many years, subsequently, its pach is only stopped relatively recently and had a big impact. So ive thought, that's interestin physics.
