The Importance of Emotional Attachment
"I remember one time I was at a park in my neighborhood and I fell into a river. The little tiny dog stuffed animal that I always kept in my pocket fell out into the river," she says. "It wasn't just like I enjoyed these stuffed animals because they were my little friends." Her emotional attachment to objects lasted until she was probably eight or nine years old.
