Cricket australia has a celery cap for the baby l teams, which means i can't attract the best international players. Seven may be trying to genuinely get out of the deal. They may also be trying to create some more favorable ground on which to negotiate the next broadcast deal in any year or so's time. I don't think the babyl was ever painted to be something that it wasn't. The big bash league has not stood up in the way that it did in earlier seasons. That's all to do with the fact that they've stretched this competition so far.
