It does seem like he's following the kind of tradition of manuscripts being produced at the Burgundian court, where you would pick a Duke or Duchess and associate yourself with them. So this is why he has Margaret of York in there too. And we think that there is also that Charles the bold connection because he was a Hercules fanboy that therefore this particular text would have been something that appealed.
