A democratic bill to crack down on price gouging recently pass in the house, it's safe to say that it'll probably wither in the senate without so much as a peep from the party leadership. This makes me wonder why the democratic party isn't doing more at the moment to go after big business. A few blue state governors, like gavanusam in california, have used the ongoing culture wars as an excuse to appeal to the corporate sector rather than fight it. But make no mistake, when it comes corporations, leaning into the culture wars is a dead end for the democrats.
