How to Be a Successful Colorist
Most cameras capture what's called log, which is the image that contains all that. Footage usually gets colored twice once for the dailies. Some people just use a lot on set. Other people have a DIT on set who will manipulate right there with the DP. And then probably dailies colored and then sunk to sound and then it all goes to editing.
