The Fed's Decline in Rate Cuts
The Fed only began to cut rates when they were panicking that the economy was going in the recession and tried to stop it. The worst time to own risk assets like stocks is when the Fed's cutting rates because they're cutting rates out of panic. When you're getting torn apart in your brokerage statements because stocks are falling apart, that's a good indication that things are going bad.
