The cult of the genius figure, be it newton or gerta or napoleon, emerges at almost the same time in human history as a notion of human equality. And there's alsoo course, a deep tie in with this in class structure. The idea that individuals wanting to perpetuat ther their supremacy,. sure and way, there's certainly that. There's also, of course, a sociological problem, that emerges when you start getting rid of the forms of hierarchy that have always divided human beings up.
