Is the Employment Cost Index a Good Idea?
The employment cost index is probably what they were watching because that tells you about wages. That's so far above what the Fed needs to see in order to get to 2%. So talks of cuts of rates likely are very far in our future. We think that is what's necessary to see sustainably higher valuations.
