Ancient afghanistan was home to a highly developed civilization for centuries before alexander or the persians. No one since 18 31 had travelled that route, because there's no report to say that they had. A lot of influences of the greeks have commonality with deities from particularly northern afghanistan and early o astrian persian civilizations. And so this goes back to the bronze age. If we coud hefe everybody take a reference point. So where 15 hundred b c and earlier? We're talking about a very, very different world. But this was a real cross roads.
