The Challenges of Combining Quantitative and Historical Thinking

The course is co-taught with maps was a historian so what are the challenges of combining kind of the more quantitative and historical approach to thinking about these things. So man and I come from different traditions and electrical traditions and we bring a different set of observations to most of the material that we're studying. The other thing that Matt brought me was a respect for the archive meaning like there's like so much ununderstood history of the way things got that way.
