The Role of Penetration Testing in Security Testing

When I was a QA engineer, my testing was usually scenario driven. And that was the WhiteBox test of Black and White. Is it the same idea in security testing? Well, I don't know. It's very close to what we would use as labels to describe penetration tests or similar security assessments. We can get more stuff done, but we might also miss things that are only visible from the outside. So it depends a little bit on what you want to achieve and how you want to achieved it.
