The last president we had who actually approached the job in terms of heeding the will of voters and changing his course was bill clinton. And you just don't, you get much more sense like president biden understood it rhetorically, but does not know how to govern that matches with his rhetoric. He's been captured, it feels like, by those idiological cadres. Trump flat out said, you know, my people are the best, and the rest of the people don't matter. Which is kind of gross, am but i just don't get why the incentive structure creates a problem with the system.
