The Memorial Day Weekend Washout From Florida to Virginia
US airlines are hoping the combination of increased staffing and generally good weather this weekend helps turn the page on last summer when more than 45,000 flights were canceled. Heavy downpours could lead to flooding, winds gusting as much as 40 miles per hour inland in places like Charlotte and Roanoke,. The Northeast picture perfect weather pretty much all weekend long with sunshine and temperatures in the 70s; may see some severe weather still across parts of the Rockies.
