The Beauty of God's Consistency

The Lord's Supper is this union of Christ and his bride in this most intimate physical manner. How can you get more intimate? How could you get more united to God than that? Then taking him into your into your very self so that you are bone of his bone and flesh of his flesh. That's how close we are to Christ because he's not only become one of us in his incarnation, but has put himself into us in the Supper as well as in Baptism. The church is bound to our Lord inseparably as bound to him as a head is to a body as bones are to other bones.
