Why Are Americans So Different in This Particular Way?
americans are more religious for social reasons. The churches have a very important social function. If i belong to a particular church, if i move from new york to los angeles, i have immediately a commune there that i can talk this,. who are like minded and who will accept me. And er, i think it has an enormous value for americans in their society to have these religions. But yet, they translate that as, i am very religious, and i believe in this and i believes in that.
