Comparative History

The value of comparative history is to see how the hangovers of things that have happened in antiquity can still be in little ways that we make assumptions to day. And it's fascinating than to see how it was thought about in antiquity, of course, is going to be different from to day. But also how those changes can happen, how contexts can facilitate different understandings.
