The Negative Connotations of Philosophy

Philosopher is an insult that emerges in the 18th century to mock French intellectuals. It also just means frivolous people who like to hang around the salon be fashionable. Oxford philosopher Timothy Williamson has been using that phrase all his career he doesn't experience it as branding but it's a long historical process of branding that has tried to overcome the negative connotations so if I can contribute anything I want to before I leave this career I want to give the phrase to do philosophy negative connotation too because I hate it.
