The Importance of Parental Rights in Homeschooling
In much of the country, homeschooling is not strongly regulated. There are a handful of states in which there are stronger regulations for homeschooling. In many states, those assessments either don't exist or they're very subjective. So when kids don't have contact with mandated reporters at their schools who might report child abuse it can create situations where potentially dangerous and sometimes lethal child abuse is possible.
