The Struggles of a Newlywed
The 19th wife of Rulon Jefs, the prophet of the FLDS Church, was forced to wash her husband's feet and dry them with her long hair. The women also had to have long hair because when they get married, there's a blessing and a ritual that they were honored to be able to do. She would later learn it was very common in the FLDS for wives to be pressured into consummating a marriage by their older husbands. A lot of FLDS members didn't hesitate to reap or beat their wives into submission.
