The Challenges of Using Artistic Evidence

i spas ona must be quite an eclectic search to try and find evidence for these annimals. It's very difficult as to cross multiple languages and and multiple centuries, and the chronology is very difficultto keep track of. The names used for animals are so difficult because they change over time. Some of the names which were in use seem to have been used for multiple species,. sometimes at different times, but sometimes at the same time. And i suppose for this one, i should admit that we do have some artistic evidence.
