The History of the Library

Most libraries that have existed through human history are no longer with us, and the ones that are still here are really rare surviving examples. We can see in its earliest iterations, most of all, the libraries were meant as archiveor storehouses. Organizingand keeping information was for, of course, for assyrian, babylonian, egyptian rulers, was the first motivation. And out of that, we slowly start to see a movement of growth that paratizes scholarly collections and the library as a storehouse not just off at information, but also of what you might call scholarly wisdom.
