The Trauma of Vietnam Veterans
In the 1980s, conservative efforts to rewrite the history of the Vietnam War and its veterans during the Reagan Revolution. In place of this anti-war concept of post Vietnam syndrome that was developed by anti-war psychiatrists and vets, the militarist right became obsessed with a so-called "Vietnam syndrome" That came to refer to popular American opposition to or skepticism of foreign wars.
