How Did You Come to Know Solaria Key?
Solaria Key was a nurse who went to Spain in the 1930s. She became this kind of icon, you know, they took a photo of her when she was on the ship and made it into a postcard that was distributed through Republican Spain. So one of the things that's really picked up upon is that she is a symbol of the solidarity between African American people and Spanish people.
