A Case Study of Free Vascularized Fibula Bone Transfer in the Upper Extremity
Free tissue transfer within seven days for severe trama in the upper extremity has been shown to decrease complication rates o case. For vascularized bone transfers and other potential tion, the incidence may be as high as 32 % if there's no additional bone graft that is used. Free vascularized fibula supplied by one point four to four millimeter diameter perennial artery also carries two venae and can be raised with a skin paddle. This graft is ideal for managing larger defects, which are defined as greater than six centimeters after debredment of infection or congenital anomalies.
