The Importance of Moral Science in Economics
I wouldn't be at all surprised if inequality has increased. I don't really have anything against Piketty. I've just got a bad feeling. Economics is about how to spend limited resources to achieve and what people think is worthwhile achieving. And that's a moral decision, it's not a mathematical decision. It takes some bigger view of the world and some agreement to decide or maybe disagreement in the end about what's actually worth doing.
