Josh Luka: My mother came from a dysfunctional impoverished alcoholic and abusive childhood herself. By the time my mother was 18 she already had the psychological syndrome, he says. "Borderlines are full of anxiety full of stress full of morbid rumination full of self-doubt," Josh writes. He adds that Borderline women with borderline personality disorder like his mother live under high levels of cortisol in their bodies.
