The coltevoe ermine set up shop in salem's two story brick town house. Those on trial left to defend themselves, under interrogation by some of the most powerful men in the colony. One of the first to be tried was bridget bishop, then in her fifties, with a history of misdemeanors. The trials progressed and more death sentences were issued. According to legend, she railed at her executioners threatening, if you take my life, god will give you blood to drink.
