The Benefits of Central Air

Central air is for one thing. It's to lower the relative humidity of your house. Fans are all about evaporation. They don't actually cool the air in the room. But that fan is going to cost you about 1% per hour to use, depending on whether you're using a little window unit or using a whole house AC system. So it is a significant savings to be able to use fans in lieu of central air.
