The Impact of Words on Performance
The way we speak to our athletes was the legacy. It's not the skills we teach, it's the words used that imprint upon them for life. We're imprinting on the brains of our athletes or our competitors and we ourselves as competitors are using the language that empowers us in high stress situations. The software will drive how the hardware behaves. So that's where the words have a massive impact is just the what how we frame things with people in those high stress moments. If you don't have the resilience, you won't bounce back or you won't drive through the adversity.
