The King-Carid Egg of Elmet
The only certain king we know, or a king-carid egg of Elmet, we meet in Beed's history being driven out effectively. So we see Elmet sort of snuffed out in the power politics that are taking place around Northumbrian and East Anglian machinations. Everything we really know about it has to be pulled together from very disparate bits of source material. There are some fabulous Welsh poetic references to the kingdom.
