The Importance of Diagnosing Papaladema Correctly
Papaladema is defined as optic dysphedema related to raised intrachrytic pressure. In clinical practice, we noticed this, but then often when we're doing teaching rounds or doing our own reviews for other research papers, we noticed that a lot of papers were using the term papaladema incorrectly. For example, they use it to describe a clear case of optic and rightis in the examination they describe Papaladema as being found. We just noticed this trend in the literature and we just thought, why don't we look at this systematically and try to see how often it happens?
