Bitcoin and the Philosophy of Cryptocurrencies
There's a difference between Bitcoin and the philosophy and Bitcoin as an asset to a certain extent. Like Apple does have a philosophy, but it's a bit less robust than maybe the philosophy of something like Bitcoin or the underpinned philosophical value there. The issue is if you're going to sell a security to the general public, have you made the full and fair disclosures as to who controls the protocol and what they can expect? That's a challenging thing. It costs a lot of money to disclose properly any given security.
