Jiang Kai-Shek's Fate Was Decided by Joe and Lai
Stalin almost had a heart attack when he heard what was going on. Joe negotiated with Jiang through TV Song, Madam Jiang's brother. Joe agreed the fight against Japan would best be led by Jiang. He said although the Red Army fought under Jiang's banner, they themselves would retain actual control over their army.
