Over all, mister trump, whose policies and remarks were widely expected to alienate emigrants and voters of color, won the lions share of the additional turnout. Theyre still winning big but they're not going to be winning big enough by bigging up margins if this shift where they're voting more republican continues to happen. If they don't rack up huge totals in big cities all across the country, they're going to lose states in the future, like new york and even potentially illinois.
