The Two Skills I Wish I Had Had 10 Years Ago

"I wish I had done a better job respecting the value of email marketing and being deliberate about serving people through email," he says. "The longer I spend being an author, the more I realize, I want to be able to have conversations with people...and email is still a really valuable way to do that." He also wishes he'd been more deliberate about building a staff after working in corporations for 16 years. "'What does it mean to manage an assistant? Like, how do I give clear feedback?' That was part of my last big corporate job,' [he asks]."
