The FBI's Indictment of Jeffrey Clark and the False Elector Scheme
CNN's John Defterios says there are new details in the indictment against former President Donald Trump. The special counsel frames this as initially an effort to preserve legal rights that rapidly evolves into one to try and fraudulently assert legal rights, he says. Former president Trump was threatening to make Jeffrey Clark the acting attorney general at one point, arguably did, or at least tried to make him the acting attorney General before backing down from that step. He also points out that Rudy Giuliani called members of the Senate well into the evening of January 6th before the vote count was finally finalized late that evening until early morning on January 7th.
