The uca has made huge strides on gender and race ification in politics. But people still get a lot of complaints about their accent, says the author. And you certainly don't see a lot of people from the north that you can distinguish them from the north from their accent or background entertainment. There's very similar geographic discrepancies in the united states too, yes.
