How to Stay Ahead of the Pack in Trend Following
The trend following would have been great in the 60s and it was sort of okay in the 70s. By the 80s, it wasn't such a problem because everyone could consider it. We stayed ahead of the pack by finding other approaches and shorter term approaches to some extent. Anyone with a pulse can look at the performance track records of dozens upon dozens of traders and realize there's something there.
