Mum's interactions in the past with cops about this case were so negative. She didn't have confidence that they could come running and save her daughter. And what did they do? They waited, and she wasn't there. The we then see nataly pick up the phone, speak to the police officer on behalf of mum. It's really that double bind that you need law enforcement. You know, a lot of the time they do a good job, but there does need to be accountability.
Today we analyze the cases of 21 year old Keeshae Jacobs who disappeared in 2016 from Richmond, VA and 16 year old Amaria Hall who went missing in 2019 from Trenton, MI. Neither mother of either girl was able to get law enforcement to react with urgency about their daughters. Jim talks about the terrible consequences of the "wait and see" attitude when it comes to the missing. Laura points out how important it is for law enforcement to examine baseline behavior in victims and identify red flags.
