Introduction

This week we take a closer look at auditing algorithms. Ellen Goodman, distinguished professor at Rootcar Law School and Julia Trao, fellow at the German Marshall Fund co-authored study on AI audits. They found there are many reasons to conduct algorithmic or AI audits. One of the most common ones is for bias or discrimination but there are also audits just from mere functionality.
