Sally Kohn: We have serious public safety problems in this country, and we have elected officials who are trying to sell us more and more law enforcement solutions. I was just looking at eric adams's plan to end gun violence in new york city, which he released a few days ago after two people got shot and killed. He advertises his plan to reduce gun violence as policing and prevention. And yet, his plan gives the police more money, but it doesn't give the mental health care system any more money.
