The Relationship Between the Crusader States and the Kingdom of Jerusalem
The kingdom of Jerusalem as the most powerful crusader state is often called upon to assist other smaller crusader states. There are occasions when they fight wars against each other, but they're rare. But from a political perspective, there's no formal reason why the kingdom of Jerusalem should rule over the other northern states. So it seems like there was an element of cooperation, I guess.
